Behavioral Instructor Behavioral Instructors implement a program of ABA instruction in an intensive setting (home, school, or community) with a child with autism or other developmental disabilities. Behavior instructors implement only interventions that are scientifically proven effective. The instruction is planned by and under the supervision of a program supervisor, who is either a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst, or well trained and experienced in the principles and procedures of Applied Behavior Analysis. A B.A./B.S. is required in psychology, human behavior, child development, early childhood education, education/special education, behavior analysis, or a closely related field. Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) preferred. Program Supervisor Program supervisors supervise behavioral instructors, deliver direct services, monitor the program of ABA instruction, analyze child performance and data, assess progress, provide training to families and school personnel, and work closely with Director of Operations and Executive Director of Intervention Services. Program supervisors implement and supervise only interventions that are scientifically proven effective. Program supervisors are required to have a B.A./B.S. degree or a M.A./M.S. degree in psychology, human behavior, child development, early childhood education, education/special education, behavior analysis, or a related field. Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA) or Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) is preferred. |
